A Measure of Peace
The agricultural center of the South, and home to one of the greatest geomantic structures in all of Creation, Lap’s importance is often drastically underestimated in regional and global politics. Wars have been fought over keeping shipping routes open to Lap, and withdrawals of its foodstuffs have been used to literally starve nations into defeat. And the great penitent monk sits, still as the mountain it is carved out of. The Lap is a perhaps the Realm’s only truly subservient satrapy in the South, but this could easily be changed, with the right pressure in the right places.
For more information on Lap, please see chapter XX of The Compass of Terrestrial Directions IV: The South.
